1. General information

These general conditions govern the online sale of products marketed on the website www.oliverabio.com

In the remainder of the document, the company will also be referred to as “Olivera” or “Seller”.

These conditions apply to purchases made by private consumers and professional clients or companies. The provisions specifically intended for consumer protection apply exclusively to natural persons who purchase for purposes unrelated to their entrepreneurial, commercial, craft, or professional activity.

2. Products

Olivèra markets food products, including oil, honey, jams, and other specialties available on the site.

Product images are for illustrative purposes. Any slight differences regarding the packaging, label, or presentation of the product do not constitute a lack of conformity, provided they do not affect the essential characteristics of the good.

Information regarding ingredients, allergens, weight, format, and storage methods is reported on the individual product pages, where applicable.

3. Prices

All prices published on the site are expressed in euros and include VAT, unless otherwise indicated.

Shipping costs are not included in the product price and are indicated separately before order confirmation.

For shipments to Switzerland and the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, administrative charges, and additional costs required by local authorities or the carrier are not included in the prices indicated on the site and remain the responsibility of the recipient.

4. Purchasing Methods

The customer can place an order even without creating an account.

To purchase one or more products, the customer must:

  3. 3. indicate the necessary data for delivery and, where requested, for billing;
  4. 4. choose the payment method;
  5. 5. verify the order summary;
  6. 6. accept these general conditions;

Before the final confirmation, the customer can correct any entry errors, modify the products in the cart, or interrupt the procedure.

5. Order Confirmation

After sending the order, the customer receives an automatic confirmation via e-mail at the address indicated during checkout.

The confirmation contains a summary of the purchased products, the applied prices, the shipping costs, the selected payment method, and the data provided by the customer.

The customer is required to verify the correctness of the reported information and promptly report any errors by writing to info@oliverabio.com.

6. Product Availability

The availability of the products indicated on the site is updated periodically.

In the event of subsequent unavailability of one or more ordered products, Olivera will inform the customer via e-mail and proceed to refund the amount paid for the unavailable items.

7. Order Cancellation

Once the preparation of the package has started, cancellation cannot be guaranteed. If the order has already been shipped, the provisions relating to the right of withdrawal, where applicable, will apply.

8. Payments

Payment can be made via:

  • credit or debit card;
  • PayPal;
  • SEPA bank transfer.

Transactions are managed through secure electronic payment systems. Olivèra neither acquires nor directly stores the complete data of the payment cards used by the customer.

9. Invoicing

Corporate customers who wish to receive an invoice must request it during the checkout procedure by correctly filling in the dedicated fields.

The request must be made prior to the conclusion of the order. The customer is responsible for the correctness of the transmitted tax data.

10. Preparation and Delivery

Orders are generally prepared within 48 working hours from payment confirmation.

Delivery is carried out exclusively via shipping. Pick-up of products at the company premises is not provided.

Delivery times are indicative and commence upon the completion of the package preparation. Any delays due to the courier, weather conditions, holidays, remote locations, customs procedures, or force majeure events are not directly attributable to Olivèra.

11. Customer Obligations Upon Delivery

At the time of delivery, the customer is invited to verify:

  • the integrity of the packaging;
  • the absence of openings, impacts, or visible damage;
  • the correspondence between the number of packages received and that indicated in the transport documentation.

In the presence of evident anomalies, the customer is invited to accept the package with a specific reservation or to refuse the delivery, indicating the reason to the courier.

12. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers

The consumer may exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days from the delivery of the products, without having to provide a reason, in the cases provided for by current legislation.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must send an explicit communication to:

info@oliverabio.com

The communication must contain:

  • name and surname;
  • order number;
  • products intended to be returned;
  • e-mail address;
  • any further information useful for the management of the request.

The products must be returned intact, unopened, properly stored, and in their original packaging.

Customer is responsible for the return charges.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases made by companies or professionals, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Olivèra.

13. Exclusions from the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal is excluded in the cases provided for by current legislation, including:

  • products that are likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • food products that have been opened or partially used;
  • sealed products that have been opened after delivery and which cannot be returned for hygienic or health protection reasons;
  • products not properly stored after delivery;
  • products damaged by the customer.

14. Refund in Case of Withdrawal

In the event of a validly exercised withdrawal, Olivèra will refund the amounts due within the terms provided for by current legislation.

The refund may be suspended until the receipt of the returned products or until the customer proves that the returned items have been shipped.

The refund is issued using, where possible, the same payment method chosen by the customer for the purchase.

15. Products Damaged During Transport

If one or more products are damaged during transport, the customer must send a report within 48 hours of delivery by writing to:

The report must contain:

  • order number;
  • description of the damage found;
  • clear photographs of the damaged products;
  • photographs of the packaging;
  • photograph of the shipping label.

After verifying the documentation received, Olivèra will proceed to refund the value of the damaged items only within 15 days.

The shipping costs originally incurred by the customer are not refunded.

The indicated procedure does not limit the rights granted to the customer by current legislation regarding non-conforming products.

17. Privacy

The processing of personal data takes place in compliance with current legislation on the protection of personal data.

For more information, the customer is invited to consult the privacy policy published on the site.

18. Applicable Law

These conditions are governed by Italian law.

For consumers residing in the European Union, the mandatory protections provided by the applicable legislation in their country of residence remain unaffected.

19. Competent Court

For disputes with consumers, the competent court is that of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile, where provided by law.

For disputes relating to purchases made by companies or professionals, unless otherwise stipulated by mandatory provisions, the Court of Palermo has jurisdiction.

20. Language of the Conditions

These conditions are drafted in Italian and may also be made available in English.

In the event of an interpretative divergence between the two versions, the Italian version shall prevail.

21. Updates

Olivèra reserves the right to modify these conditions at any time.

The conditions applicable to each order are those published on the site at the time the purchase is completed.
